hosting sites besides hostgator

OK i am using hostgator and like it but i am trying something and need 2 other providers. I am trying out hosterbox and mochahost on recommendations i saw here with horrible results. a basic html page on either site taking 10 to 15 seconds to load is absolutely unacceptable. Anyway can anyone suggest hosting sites that are comparable speed wise to hostgator as i can not use sites that are going to just not work.

Like DarkPixel said, try hostwinds. They have really great customer support and customer service, and their speeds are unmatched.

i like hostdime they are not the cheapest but the support it great when you have real sites and need them up and running

I use Dreamhost for several of my sites and have been very happy for what it's worth. Hope that helps.

just saying, but i think that recommendations should be made by customers who are using the service, and not by employees or people that own the hosting company.

real answers from real customers is what i'm after....
