My hosting plan with Hostinger has expired, but I still own the domain name. They are offering me a renewal price of $150 per year, which I find quite expensive.


Is it possible for me to retrieve my website files and host them with another, more affordable provider? Or could you kindly suggest an alternative solution?

Yes, you can retrieve your data from Hostinger. If your hosting plan has expired but you still own the domain name, you can request Hostinger to provide you with a backup of your website files and database. Most hosting companies retain data for a certain period even after the plan has expired.
 
Are you sure it is for renewal? It looks like your domain name got into the redemption phase, and you still can renew it at a higher fee.
Do you remember the expiration date?

Yes, you can definitely move to a cheaper host. Just contact Hostinger support and ask for a backup of your site files and database. Once you have that, you can upload everything to a new hosting provider like Namecheap, HostArmada, or even a VPS if you're comfortable managing it.
