I thought I found an awesome domain name so I purchased it and went to host it on HostGator. I got a message saying they suspended my account because the domain name put up a red flag since it had the word "forex" in there.

They said they don't allow investment sites and unless I can tell them what it will be used for in the next 48hrs, they will cancel my account.

I'm mainly wanting to try and develop a site that will give me a bit of adsense income on the side. Anyone know of any other shared hosting account which accepts these sites?

Thanks!

You can convince them easily by replying to their email that you are not using that domain to create any scamming site instead for a blog or like that.

They even did for me once when I added my domain to Hostgator which had Droid Keyword in it.

we allow it and we have a few already with forex on their domains

First try convincing them. If that doesn't work try bluehost. They have no issues with Forex sites.

Thanks guys. I'm on the phone (on hold) with them now. I'll let them know what it is for.. blog site and review site. I'm mainly wanting it for the high priced click rate and use it for some income on the side through adsense.

I actually have a website related to investments and bitcoin with a pretty obvious investment domain name. I have been with Hosterbox for a very long time now and have never had any issues.
