Hosting Options

Hi guys, just wondering regarding hosting, I have read "vishyjames's guide" and obviously he states that we need or should use multiple hosts to ensure there are no footprints on the ip side of things.

I have also watched a youtube video that recommended "cloakhosting" as hosters for our PBNs which I am currently using.

However, cloakhosting can't seem to run a few of the WP themes properly. Its like when I try to edit the themes, the theme attempts to "preview" the changes before I can save it and it is just stuck in the "darkened pre-preview" screen forever.

So I figured that in order for me to host and build my PBNs appropriately, can I just go with different hosters for each site? Say I have 10 PBNs, I join 10 different hosters - that was no IPs are linked to each other right?

Would like to continue with cloakhosting as they provide a unique IP for each of my domains but the fact is that they cannot seem to run the themes properly is making me want to drop them.

Do you guys have any recommendations for "cloaking hosters" like the above?

You can use individual hosts, go for low-mid range hosts rather than the cheapest otherwise you’ll have loads of problems.

The advantage is it’s very safe and zero footprint. Disadvantage is that it is difficult to manage.

Alternatively you can go with someone like EBN or GoPBN who offer hosting specifically for PBNs- basically these companies do the above on your behalf. these services can be a little more expensive, but the advantage is that it’s low hassle and you often get additional features such as monitoring, backup and statistics tracking.

I assume that basically all you do is add a domain to this hoster then they will give you a DNS to point to and they can then change the ip so that all the websites have unique IPs ?

You can definitely go with different hosts for each blog and that would be fine. There is a cost for this, of course -- with most cloud providers (AWS, DigitalOcean, Linode, etc.) you can provision a small server for around $5 -- as well as the management of the servers yourself (which isn't terribly difficult, but is yet another task to do regularly).

Most PBN hosting solutions handle all that for you. The downside is that you won't have access to the server, nor will you have the only blogs on the servers. But the benefit is that it's a very cost-effective solution that works well for most people trying to build PBNs.

Wow just noticed bulk buy hosting is doing 10 domains for $26 - that must be the cheapest hoster I have seen
