hosting help

I have two Joomla built websites hosted in UK. I know nothing about web development but can find my way around switching between html and using the text writer. Now my host has been cr*p again and I really want to move the whole sites to another host. How easy is this and is there any provider on BHW that can help ??

This shouldn't be really hard but it takes time to set up the new host and make your sites running.

Some of the important things to consider while migrating to new host are

1. Add your list of domains to new hosting control panel
2. Change your DNS Settings to point to new host.
3. Export Database from current host
4. Backup all files from current host(using any FTP client)
5. Check Subdomain Settings
6. Check Redirection Setings
7. Import Database to new host
8. Import files to new host
9. Set Mail settings(MX records) & accounts
