Hosting from fiverr

i have bought someone gig (cpanel hosting for 1 year) for my personal blog, works fine!

ok one more question, this guy says "Once you input my DNS servers (all you got to do is copy and paste)" on his post but then there is another guys that says "Transferring your site from one host to another takes a lot of time, and there are a lot of little things you need to take care or your site won't work."

so which is it? if I just have a small wp blog isn't it as simple as just changing th dns servers to the new one?

i used to give hosting out on fiverr, but for 5 a month.

I tried one of those before, 4 bucks for a year. It was great. The problem was actually that. The guy probably bought a reseller package somewhere and sell it in pieces. In my case it was great cos not so many customers were in there.
But then the site was just disappear, my guess was that his year was up and he didn't intend to renew his reseller package anymore.
You see, hosting is not just about the spec and price, you want to go with companies thats been there awhile.
If it is a small site like you said you might as well try byethost or place like that. I doubt 5 bucks a year will make much of a different to free. At least they've been around for sometime

bythhost looks good I think I will give that a shot. How does it work for sties that are already up though? Do I just make a wp back up and upload it via ftp? I bought this site off flippa 6 months ago and now I have to move it to a new host but it's my first site. He didn't send me any site files just pushed the domain and changed the wp admin info for me so I'm not sure if I need site files or what.

Yep, you need the wp files including tamplate, plugins etc thats not came with standard wp installtion. You'll also need the database files, downloadit from phpmyadmin.
After those are set, then you change the dns pointing to the new host dns.
Beware though, byethost ftp kindda suck

Seriously, just go with someone semi-reliable like Hostgator. Don't put your site on some crap host you have no control over, no support and can vanish at any time.
It pays to be frugal with your spending, but don't make cuts when it comes to key business essentials, like web hosting. It's like 5 bucks a month and will save you headaches in the long run.
If you go with Hostgator, they will transfer your site for you, which is handy. So will most other decent hosts. Doing it yourself for the first time may cause issues. I think they need cpanel details, not sure if just WP login will do it (I may be wrong though).
