Hosting for adsense blog?

Hi guys, after reading some stuff on BHW I wanna start an adsense website.
The target will be people from USA but Im from Eastern europe.

But for better speed I suppose I need a web host from Usa. Can you recommend me something cheap that will be ok with many visitors/day (adsense) ? Also the host needs to accept people from other countries :-?

I know people slag off Hostgator (I do too when they are down) but to get started on your first sites they aren't too bad price wise.
Also have a look in The Marketplace as there are a couple of good providers there, I believe.
