Hey guys, I need some help about choosing hosting for my new website. Since now I've only used Host1Plus bronze packet (if that's how it's called) because I didn't need "real" quality hosting service.

So now I have new website which will have 15-25k visits daily (tested it, don't think I'm cocky :P ), so what hosting should I go for? Stay on Host1Plus but upgrade to gold, platinum? Hostgator? I've heard ppl have some problems with them...

So any advice appriciated, It's my 1st time I need good hosting so what do you think? :)

I think you'll need a dedicated server (or something similar) so definitely not HostGator unless you want to be ripped off. Try Digital Ocean, or Hostwinds.

I would suggest you high end VPS with not so famous hosting company because they have servers that are not full of vps's. Or choose a low end dedicated server for same price of high end vps.

Yeah it sounds like you will have to upgrade to either a VPS or dedicated server. It really depends on the type of content you are serving.

If it's dynamic it will probably take a pretty beefy server.

20k per day visits is quite a large number. You will be looking at something like 600k visitors per month. Plus if you have high definition images, those might hog a lot of bandwidth. If possible you should look at hosting your videos on Youtube or Vimeo and linking to them in your website.

I have just upgraded to 1and1 they have dedicated servers from 45 dollars, please note getting a cdn linked with amazon s3 will help you a great deal and take a lot of stress and bandwith off your server and its a faster and cheaper way of running your "busy" site. That was what saved us when hostgator/hostmonster kept shutting is down on their shared hosting.

All the best.

20k/visits a day isn't very much, you could probably serve your website from a USB stick with that type of traffic.

I would also suggest a dedicated server upgrade,if you are getting that much visits.

If you use one single landing page.

I suggest Hawkhost better than hosgator.

If you use a lot of posts. You need vps hosting

Indeed. That will be the best choice for you, Nisdee. You can go to the marketplace and choose your hosting provider :)

you should lookup for a vps hosting service but you will need some basic knowledge about setting it up and the licenses can be costly ... for example a firewall or cpanel license. If you need any help contact me on PM and i will guide you thru the process.

Choose a low end dedictaed server that is scaleable for your site in the future.

For that Big Volume of Per day Visitors You need a Dedicated & Solid Server.

Many Hosting Company Providing Unlimited Bandwidth. I Prefer Hostgator...
