Hosting for 100k visitors simultaneously

Im a totally noob about hosting like what is bandwidth for and gb of the hosting.
But im helping a friend of mine to ask what hosting (GB, bandwidth amount) should he use if he has 100k or more visitors visits his site simultaneously.

He needs to know which hosting should he buy so he can prepare some money for it

Question can't be answered at all without knowing the nature of his website. If he's going to open a video-page with users uploading and hosting videos on his own, he'd need shitloads of space. If he has a script that is heavy on sql side, he'd need more RAM. A Vserver (not a VPS) or a cluster might be what he's looking for. If he's targeting 100k+ simultaneous visitors, I assume he has some knowledge already and probably contacts in the hosting industry so he may know better than you.
Else he may be just dreaming of 100k simultaneous visitors - because that's REALLY huge!
