Hello dear BHW members, its my first post here, first post on any forum in past 10 years to be honest...
So, I have this movies/tv shows streaming website I've been pushing around from one host to another for the past 6 months using free trials and what not...
Now I make some decent beer money out of it and I'd love to get some rest from transferring 50k images every month.

Some info:
None of the videos are hosted by me, I'm embedding videos from Netu.(something like openload was - if you didn't hear about netu)
I get around 2k daily visitors with 10k pageviews.

My question(s) is(are):
What hosting should I go for: VPS or Shared?
If I go for VPS, 1gb ram and 1cpu should be enough?
Do I need bulletproof for website that embeds videos from other sites (netu, verystream, doodstream, vidcloud etc...)?
If so what DMCA ignoring/Bulletproof host would you recommend?

i would recommend you go with Alexhost they ignore DMCA.

Shared Hosting is limited, like CPU and RAM and can cause your website being suspended due to excessiva Usage.

I recommend you go with VPS, 4GB of RAM will be perfect, minimium 2GB RAM.

Alexhost have VPS with 8Gb RAM for 16€...

If you use any panel in VPS with 1GB RAM + WordPress + Control panel you will lack of resources. Not recommended.

If you are just getting started - better to pay less and for this matter shared hosting appears to be the best option as for me.

As suggested by @NetShop ISP You should start with shared hosting and can upgrade to VPS once you get more traffic. Also, note that for VPS you should at least look for 4GB Ram or more with 4CPU

My VPS is up and running within 24 hours. Cloudarion.com support replies within seconds.
Best of all, my site is noticeably more responsive. The will always go the extra effort, been with them almost 8 months and never regretted it once.

Ok, my 2 cents

You don't need "bulletproof" hosting for the purposes you mentioned. Bulletproof is a term used for hosting solutions that allow illegal stuff like e-mail spam, port scan, DDoS, phishing, etc - in your case avoid this bad neighborhood. There are offshore hosting solutions that working in the legal field & ignore DMCA abuses because of different legal regulations in certain countries. Offshore hosting it's a bare minimum for you, because you still have a risk of copyright abuses, despite you don't host the videos.

We sell our VPS with great discount for BHW members (check my signature). I would suggest you to add 4-5 bucks monthly & choose VPS - you'll get much more performance, plus the ability to configure everything for your needs & dedicated IP address. The only reason to choose shared hosting is cPanel, it's included there, if it doesn't matter - go get VPS.
