Hi, I have a new domain and content that is a bit controversial. I know for sure some people will get offended by it. Whats the best way to set up a site like this? Should I use a special hosting service? (currently with Hostinger) Any recommendations?
What are the chances of it being taken down if people report it? Has anyone done anything similar?

What do you mean by "controversial website"? Is it about politics? Just go with offshore hosting to be sure, but i dont think it will have any problems

Controversial OR Illegal?

Big difference between the two..

Comes down to the host to be honest... if it is the cause of constant complaints/takedown requests it is always the economical option to get rid of the problematic client.

If that were to happen I can simply move the site to a new hosting service no? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

For the most part, yes. They'd take your site offline and provide your access to your files for download. Then you'd simply upload the files elsewhere and point your dns there as well.

Cool, thanks.

Since you're being secretive, no one can help you.

But if it's about politics, move your hosting to Epik.com. There was a case where the social media network Gab.com was banned from godaddy hosting for allowing free speech and GD are corporate cucks like any other big site. The CEO of Epik offered them hosting there are promised not to ban anyone on the basis of controversy.

Just make sure you dont have copyright content and are not doing anything related to fraud, harrasment. Controversial is not enough of a reason to take the site down.
