When I go to the link to log into cPanel (it gave me the link in the email).

It says : Unable to Connect : Firefox cannot establish a connection.

    That typical page.

Anyone ever had the same problem??

Could it be because I am at work, and "SmartFilter" is up through the network?

I mean, a little SmartFilter page doesn't pop up, but could the port 2083 be blocked by it?

    Maybe that is the problem.

OR could it have been that the nameservers were still pointing to GoDaddy.com?

I just changed them to the nameservers that HG gave me.

Still not working YET, but maybe that will help?

Yes I had the same problem. But what you do is ask Hostgator if you can connect to their proxy server.

They provide a proxy as a courtesy for customers with firewall issues.

The only downside is you have to enter your password every time you login.

Just used the proxies, still won't work.

Maybe I need to wait for the nameservers to change over.

It can take a couple days sometimes I think.
