Hostgator OR VPS?

One of the VPS I have is only $42 and it is with hostgator.
having a vps is like buying in bulk.
You can make an account for each website you put up there...
or have all of them on one account
or have several spread out in several accounts...
all for $42 a month.

Hostgator has shared hosting, each with separate cpanels. Not sure whether that is in included in the 8.95 package. I started off with shared hosting and then moved to their vps option when one of the sites became too popular and resource-intensive. Should be fine for simple landing pages.

Is there a reason why you need cpanel for each one? If you have a few sites with landing pages then I don't see why you would. You would have one domain as the main. Then the rest would be addons. You can still create separate databases, see separate stats, ftp users, ect.

Go with the VPS. You're better off.

I would go with Hostgator if you are starting fresh, I've used it before, very reliable and stable.

Why do you want a cpanel for each one?
You can have multiple websites with ONE cpanel. :yield:

If you have just started then go for a free hosting and later on you can change the hosting when you are professional...

Well if you want multiple cPanels then go for reseller package. HostGator offers unlimited cPanels and FTps for reseller hosting. It is cheaper than VPS.

With VPS you're like the 'virtual server owner', you got a lot more liberty as opposed to a hosting company. It has its ups and downs. Why still would you want a different CPanel for every website?

Hostagator is very reliable and well recommended by many professional webmasters , so its not like you're taking a risk or whatsoever because you know that its a good website based on many peoples' reviews.Try Hostagator !

HostGator is great host...
Their shared hosting is for smaller number of sites, but if you plan having lots of sites, consider using their Reseller accounts since they will give you more power to manage various sites...

All these hosts like hostgator/Dreamhost are crap in the long run and will try to dump customers once they reach a certain size.
If you're looking for reliable Unmanaged VPS, Go with Linode, or if you need something cheaper, Hostigation, or Edis if you need Europe based, Their sites may not be filled with ponies, but they don't oversell and they are amazingly good.
If you still need help or need some shared hosting suggestion, feel free to PM me, I've been around a while in the hosting circles.
