Hostgator lost my site

tch! i'm planning on moving from hg to either midphase or ace-net. i really don't feel they offer the best service, and they're a little too quick to suspend your account.

even if you didn't do anything wrong!

6 hours i was on, i was told it was hacked, was a dodgy script, my themes needed updated and finally they said i deleted my sites..

Fecking jeezuz man, the only reason i entered the cpanel was because my sites had vanished, tried to explain this to them, but they were adamant i deleted it, why the hell would i be in my cpanel in the first place if my sites were working correctly?>

Needless to say, they backed up my sites a week ago and re-did them free of charge, of which they said usually costs $15 per site. thanks a bunch...won't be hosting with you anymore!!

I had same thing. I lost about 30 sites on one of my servers last night. Security team said there was some sort of script exploit, which meant all the files on my domain/sub domains were deleted. Seems I'm not the only one then...

Looks like both of you host on hostgator on same server, got error on the same time. I think it get hacked or hardware failure, they won't tell the truth.
Sorry I don't mean I'm happy on your sadness, but lucky I'm not on the same server with you, I use hostgator shared hosting too.

Sorry you had all of these problems man. I've been with HG for a while and haven't had any major problems and tech support was always helpful.

If you have anymore problems in the future a good place to turn to is the forum. The moderator there is very helpful in solving problems and make sure tech support does their job. I can't recall his name a the moment but once you sign, read a a few posts and you'll see who I'm talking about.
