Hostgator is down AGAIN!!!

certifiedhosting is good. Pretty much the same price and offering as HG (cpanel) and the network is a little faster. I also like cyberwurx but they're a little pricier.

Not hosgator. No way. They are one of the best for affiliate marketing hosting right? Every hosting has down time. This is rare right? I say this as a hostgator affiliate.

hosting a bunch of sites on hostgator, no problems at all this week
 
Hostgator has been pissing me off for about the last six months. I have 40 websites hosted with them on a shared plan and I think I'm starting to hit their limits because my sites have been deathly slow lately (5+ sec load times)
 
I just ordered a server at 100tb/midphase , although i saw some negative reviews from a few years ago, lately they seem to be good.

For sure once the server is up i will start complaining to see how their support is. :D
 
they all have their problems from time to time. all in all hostgator is one of the more reliable, full featured hosting options. My advice to those thinking of moving is to do at least a 1 month test run on whatever host you planning to move to before you even think about migrating your sites. You will be surprised at some of the crap you have to deal with on some hosting accounts. just my 2 cents.

40 websites in a shared hosting???? :O you should be grateful and not get pissed off. thats a good example that hostgator is really good :)

i do not have problems with hostgator before but lately it has downtimes and yes you are right i tried doteasy.com and they dont just suck but super suck. stay away with them. they suspend my account and didnt give me my backups and worse is they charged $25 per site to get a backup and you cant move domain to another registrar cos they are charging another $25. rip off
 
I had something very strange happen with hostgator yesterday. I had an article directory with a couple thousand posts that I was actually going to get rid of as it's just too much work with very little earnings. So I went to check on the website and it was mostly gone and mostly deindexed. About 5 pages were still in big G and the admin panel was still there but for the most part everything else just vanished. There really were no signs of being hacked and no other websites on that account were hacked either.

My advice, check your money sites daily and back your sh*t up often.
 
I haven't noticed my site going down at all this past week. I have an alert setup to let me know any time it can't find specific words on my page. Never got an alert.

Yeah, you dont want your dough gone the next day.
 
My HG has never been down. Have been with them for over a year now. It may be a problem with individual server. contact support and ask; they may change your sites to another server.
 
I have a lot of sites on a HG reseller. If your running WP, make sure you run a cache program like WP Cache.

Have a couple other providers and HG has been good to me anyway. There affiliate program sucked when I ran it a year ago. They reversed most sales :confused:
 
Switch to hostwinds and be done with the problems.

Hostwinds is new in hosting. I do not trust new host yet as they do not have proven good records. And for 25 cpanel accounts for $20 aughhhhh too expensive. I would rather stay in hostgator. Thank you tho for suggesting
