Guys,quick question
I plan to create a wordpress site so I have to choose ''Wordpress Hosting'' on hostagtor, correct?
There also is a ''Web hosting'',what's that about in this case?

The Optimized WordPress Hosting on Hostgator is shit. It is supposed to be managed but Hostgator support is now non existent.
Also used the Business plan web hosting from Hostagor which was also shit but OK for testing and you have access to CPanel.

If this is your first site then it might be OK for a year while you build up traffic but you will probably want to move after 12 months.

So basically I should choose ''web hosting'' and after everything is done I should install wordpress on it,correct?

Yeah just pick the webhosting and install wordpress through Cpanel and you will be up and running.

It is up to you, Web Hosting allows you access to Cpanel and you can install what you like or the Optimized WordPress Hosting is set up for Wordpress already.
I wasn't impressed with the Optimized WordPress Hosting and the Business Web Hosting was cheaper so it is probably a better bet.

BUT as I said Hostagator is shit now and only worth it if you are desperate for cheap hosting, better to pay more and get a better service TBH.

You can install it via cPanel with any package hostgator offers.

yep. try hosting services listed here in marketplace. I used hostgator for 1 year. not good.
I'm using poweruphosting (they have a bst here) now. Got no problem so far. Check them first.

i have one question to you.. if i buy hosting 1cent on hostgator can i remove CC to avoid postpay?? thanks

Most probably, they will suspend the account pretty fast.

Regarding OP's question: I would run fast from hostgator. Their support is very very slow . Would choose a smaller company like bluehost or knownhost...they have some servers which are really optimized for wordpress and they are offering a great support.
