I think bluehost and Hostgator are now owned by the one company EIC.

Hostgator have gone down to bluehost standards since the takeover.

They're both owned by the same parent company, so probably share infrastructure to some extent.

been down for a few hours now based on this thread timestamp and lack of revenue. I have a personal contact with HostGator, I will be totally writing them asking for a free month on all the services I run with them. I am losing $xxx per hour here. Losing-my-shit

Exactly. EIG bought Bluehost in 2010 and then put in a bid for hostgator sometime around july/august of last year. I haven't had much of a problem yet though.

1 of my Host Gator servers is down, the other is up. Pingdom detected a 10 minute outage for the host that went down, but it's back up and running for me.

The less you spend in certain areas, the more you make elsewhere. He could have 5 hostgator accounts. All of which would be down because a lot of servers are down. I'd say 50/50.

My site was down 10 hours ago, and back to normal a few hours ago.
Then now it is DOWN again.......................

I pay 300$ a month for one of their dedicated boxes. Learn to read noob. Also, I don't need to prove my revenue to anyone. I make more in a month than you could ever make in a year haha

also, my dedicated box is up but my shared accounts are down
