Yes they do and if you already have an account with them all you have to do is log in and purchase another hosting package. No need to reregister.

I posed this question to them before because I was overloading my shared server and this is the info they gave me.

Why would they not? They're in business to rent space, who cares if you're already renting from them or brand new.

It's like a hotel not letting you rent another room because you're staying in one room. You can rent as many rooms as your credit limit can handle. Same with hostgator :).

I am asking because they offer discounts for new customers and maybe track IPs etc? I don't care about the discounts and will sign up for the full price but will they suspend accounts suspected to belong to the same person?

in my experience, no, however I've only been shut down for overuse of system resources on a domain / whm account, never for anything DMCA / violation of TOS / otherwise.

I have had individual domains shut down temporarily, and once or twice a whole whm account, however in all times it was restricted to the area that was causing the process run up.

If you open a new account they will probably freeze it and ask for verification. Just buy a new package from your existing acc

I want to buy a couple other hosting plans for domains and do it within my acct. Any idea if they wind up going on different c class (by sheer luck...they have many) or do they stick you on the same web server?

Seems to be some misinformation here which I won't address directly. If you want to get straight answers, just go to their website and chat with sales live support. There all of your questions will be answered.
