I started promoting hostgator in april.
Now I was wondering if anyone has a lot of experience with the hostgator affliate program, what's the average approval rate? As for me I'm currently at around 40-50% it seems, which seems a bit low to be honest.
Also I was wondering if anyone has already been paid out for the sales of April since it was supposed to be this week and when I contacted support they were like "errr it takes 3 months" "yes I waited 3 months, my first sales were in April" "errr.. here is the link to the FAQ" "Yes I read it, it said the first week of july I should be paid then.." "errr...." and then I los my patience.
Would it be better to try to sign up through CJ?

If you are pushing in lower volume, CJ is good because of the minimum payout.

But if you can make the 25$ cap, their in-house program is excellent.

Thanks, yes I'm currently for in the $ 125 section, so I will stick with that. Still I think that the amount of rejected ones is quite high, but might be from people who only pay per month.
So did anyone get their payout for April yet?

I use their in-house program. I had 2 signups a few months ago and was paid on time. Just ride their ass about it. They will send payment. Also, make sure your signups are verified or approved on your stats page.

I have had a few legitimate sales through their in-house program I wasn't paid for, even after contacting their affiliate manager several times. But through CJ, I've been paid for most of my sales.
Plus, the CJ program has a period of 45 days while the in-house one has a period of 60 days. ;)
