hi guys!

i need a good hoster with free domain privacy, do you have any suggestions?
i am from germany and went with 1&1 but they messed up a lot plus have all my personal details online which i dont like either so i wanted to get another hoster but i dont know a lot about other hosters.
all i want is domain privacy which makes anybody who wants to find out my information some pain in the ass(not cause of illegal stuff but cause german law is really fucked up regarding internet marketing...:/) for acceptable prices.
thanks a lot for your answers in advance!

peace

so what is this about now? please clearify a little more...
if you state you are looking for a good provider - i guess you are willing to pay something for your hosting right? it should be good - at least thats what i do understand from it.
so why do you care about whois-privacy for free?
if you focus on free whois - you end up with providers either offering one year for free...or with providers that do not fit into the good-section at all.

mostly whois goes around like10$ extra a year - as far as i know at least with some reliable hosts that do sell pretty cheap as well. compared.
on the other hand theres good hosting with slightly higher fees but you get free whois right away.
so where do you focus on? a good hosting, a cheap hosting or the privacy for free.
do you need/want a stable one or is a cheap one, throwing free whois on you, good enough?

is the yearly 10$ fee normally per domain or once for the whole account?
actually i need more a stable one that offers domain privacy(10$ a year is ok), money is not that much of a problem.

if you look around you will see that a lot of providers give a low fee on hosting and take whois as an optional feature then...
...and, from my expirience/knowledge, they will basically meet around the 10$ mark.

there still are some that offer it for free - but i couldn`t name one, straight away, i would really rely on - using the term "good". as this to me, in terms of hosting; basically means "a really decent one". as i do rate a solid hosting company pretty high in my books.
but of course it does depend on what is really needed for your mission too...

some do it per year/per domain - but i think i have seen some that allow like 3 or 5 per package. and the there are others that have a higher monthly fee on first sight - but whois is included already so it balances out again.
so as money for hosting seems no problem - just look for a reliable hosting that is well known for a good service, having the features that fits your needs.
