I setup a new site in November and added content at the start of December. My initial ranking strategy is use expired tumblrs, wordpress, yolasite, expired over-blog and some other new web 2.0s.

I'm using keysearch.co and the difficulty is 18 and 19 for two variations of the keyword, after 4 weeks one keyword is on page 2 and the other is on page 4.

I'm now thinking maybe add a couple of expired domains with part of the keyword in the domain name and build niche related blogs that are hosted.

I have no idea how many pbn's needed to rank p1. I was thinking of doing the same with my other two websites.

I would like to hear comments about this too. But if you rephrase your post as a question, I think you can get more replies ;)

How did you rank so quickly?

I posted the articles on 6th December, so it's nearly a month and I started the site around 1st November, new domain name. 12 web 2.0 links for 2 keywords, including other keywords for pages on the site, about 60 web 2.0 links. I've used stumbleupon and scoop.it to post the web 2.0 articles and the sites articles. Each article is over 2000 words of boring content and useful information with my Amazon reviews.

Sorry for the off-topic question, but did you write those articles yourself?

Question 2 :

You mean you ranked to page 2 with web 2.0s (no PBN) as your tier 1?

1. Yes and no, some are 300 to 400 words and other just 50 with an image.
2. Yes, just web 2.0, but thinking of buying some expired domains to boost further as I'm rather impatient lol

Scrape them - you will get much better quality than what you can buy. Are you submitting them to google or letting them index naturally?

I'm scraping them with tumblr hunter, but I've bought them from fiverr before. Submit to google and post to scoop.it/stumbleupon/blogger/G+

I was able to get much better results with scrapebox over tumbrl hunter. Its worth a try if you have a copy of scrapebox.

I don't have a copy and it's bit expensive for me.

How many tumblr's are you creating per IP?

Thanks for the response. I would recommend using different IP's or it could lead to a ban. Are you filtering them by metrics or what? just wondering because I was thinking of implementing a similar strategy

I've registered about 25 so far, but my IP address is not static.
I'm filtering them by keyword and then checking on moz ose.

I've just ordered 4 x 400 word articles for the web 2.0s for one keyword and another 4 x 400 articles for different keyword. $32 in total through Upwork writers, I pull some information from several sources and piece together an article to be rewritten 4 times in total.

Look at the content section here, you can find dirt cheap pricing on articles. Cheaper than that, perfect for 2.0's.

I thought 1 cent a word was cheap, maybe next time I'll look on here then.

Its hard to tell how many PBN you need. What i do always start with 2-3 sites first. Let them index and link back to my site. Then check the progress and based on it add more or not. And here are much cheaper service you will get for article.
