I recently updated from a VPS server to a Starter dedicated server (with SSD) at seowebhosting.net, and purchased a 20 IP package from muliplecloud.com.

You dont get that much disk space for each IP address from multiplecloud, but I was thinking that it would be a good idea to host the databases on the dedicated server at seowebhosting.net. I want to be able to use each IP [from multiplecloud] for different niches.

    Is this a good ideas?

It's not a good setup if the servers that run your website and database are located in different datacenters. That setup means that there will be higher latency (slower speeds), as the data will need to be transferred over a longer distance.

That setup is good if both servers are in the same place. This is usually done for load balancing.

Thats true, and you also have the additional problem of the data being unencrypted, and a messy job of configuring remote IP's in WHM.
