Host several Wordpress on one VPS.

I have a VPS at DigitalOcean. My configuration : LAMP + Wordpress.
There are several solutions to host two sites on the same Apache server:


A) Multisite Wordpress : allow multisite with wp-config.php : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-multiple-wordpress-sites-on-a-single-ubuntu-vps.
B) Host two separate WordPress instances on one VPS : https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-multiple-wordpress-sites-on-a-single-ubuntu-vps.

I think I'll go with solution B, because the data is not shared. And you, what is the solution you prefer?
Is it frequent to host several blogs on a VPS?

I rarely (try to avoid) host multiple WP on a single vps due to my specific setup/business model. But I have tried it before using WordOps.
It works like this: Install wordops, install 1st Wordpress site, install 2nd site, install 3rd site, and so on.
All of those are done with simple command lines.
It works perfectly, but I didn't test it on a 'production level' so not sure how it goes if those sites generate lots of traffic.
I am not good at this thing, so don't count my answer, just share my experience.

centminmod LEMP web stack is a pretty great way to host multiple wordpress. Its also optimized for security and speed.

Solution B is the way to go, Don even bother with milti site. Multisite will not save you any significant space as you got 2 sites.
Just make sure to take backups.
I got a oracle vps and I have 8 wordpress installs and Counting.

I made the decision to go with solution B. No plugin, no multisite. It requires to master a manual installation and to understand a minimum of the LAMP structure but I must say that I take a little pleasure in pretending to be a sysadmin .

I'm thinking of testing Apache first and maybe Nginx later!

I like the sqlite version. I have the bundle at http://simpleautoblogs.com/wplite.zip

If you just have landing pages, or you have multiple clone websites that use same theme + plugins go for multisite.

If you want more flexibility create virtual hosts and do multiple wp installs.
