Overall they have been good to me... bee nwit hfor 4 years. Did have aproblem with my sites getting viruses about one year ago. However they did a pretty good job fixing it up and cleaning all the sites.
 
overall, they are ok... When I first started with them my sites loaded really fast.. But now, they lag pretty bad and have a lot more downtime lately..
 
Never had any problems with them. Overall a good hosting company.
 
My only problem is that all my addon domains are created along with a subdomain that contains the same data. I'm having duplicate sites which isn't something good I think.
 
I left using HG a year ago. Wrong charges after offer.
 
No problem, Hostgator is one of the best web hosting company. BTW what was the problem with you OP?

This isnt a problem this is HOW addon domains work, its the way Cpanel creates and processes them, and Cpanel pretty much invented the term and system for addon domains.
 
I have not used HG for my site for 5 odd months and they are still charging me in the billing but my card is not working so they cant get the money so this is unfair I think

Was with hostgator for a few years. Left them when they "claimed" I didn't pay, when I sent Paypal proof that I did. I was an affiliate for them too, and brought them a nice chunk of referrals. I know of people who called to cancel and they gave them a few months free hosting just to keep them.. however they couldn't set aside 2 months payment..

Now I'm on a dedicated server with SingleHop. Highly recommend them!

so why are they still charging you if you don't use their hosting? WTH
 
I am using hostgator for all my websites about a year ago. I had a problem once with one of my website which went down for couple of hours. After contacting the tech support team it was resolved very quickly, since then i have not observed anything big yet.
 
I've been with them around 6 months. In that time, I've submitted two tickets and both were answered very fast.

So no complaints here.
