hostgator does have great support and the online chat is really convienent. how do you guys compare this to 1and1? if any have had experiences with 1and1 please do compare and share! thanks
Don't, I did that and 3 months later they didn't pay me, even though I was still with them... HG hates paying their affiliate's and will look for any excuse not to...

you guys who use hostgator. how many domains do you guys have?
i'm planning to move around 40 domains with very high traffic (>2000 uv per day per domain) to a new host.
are they okay? i heard sometime ago even though they offered unlimited domains+bandwidth per acc, they were quick to kick out anyone.
how about now?

37 domains with HG. No problems in 4-5 years.

The only problem I have had with them was their affiliate side. Still havent been paid for a domain bought and hosted using my referral. but no biggy,as far4 as their hosting side. it is great. i have 4 domains with them and they havent done anything wrong. but then again, it depends on what your looking for as well. they only allow 500 emails out per hour. per domain, as godaddy allows 200 perhour, per email account, on one domain. so, you need more domains. also, some of the ffmpeg isn't allowed because of scripting. but thats no big deal either. other than that, they are great to me.

amazing support, 24/7, no BS support they know their stuff, no downtime. excellent in my opinion. i have more than 30 domains with them.

Reseller plan is great. I have about 50 domains on it.
The thing about reseller plan is that each domain is sort of on its own so you can delete and re-add it without worrying about screwing up other domains. ie. you get access to WHM tool so you don't have to deal with addon domains.

I host many domains with HG and have found the service to be without compare. I do ask them sometimes if they are going to put up with my particular brand of shit and if they are not sure or say no, I just don't do it on HG hosted sites. The big thing with HG is no spamming from their servers. Telephone support is great and I don't get paid for this recommendation! I have also found that HG will fix my boo-boos pronto with immediate ticket response and without complaint.
