What are your experiences with Host Gator? I need to move about 15 domains, and 150 subs to them asap. I signed up with them a few days ago, and got some of my primary domains moved but am curious what they think about one account with many domains and a fair amount of traffic?

I was in a hurry to get things moving, so I got one of their business unlimited disk / traffic accounts. (only to realize later that they do not offer SSH with that plan grr.. oh well).

Any thoughts good or bad about them would be great before I move the bulk of my domains over.

This move is not by choice but necessity.. that is another story however.

they are alright depends what you are going to do with the domains...

I have not grown far beyond about 10 domains, but I have liked using them. Had no downtime issues, and no other issues to date.

I have also 9 domains with them and there service is really great .Any issues which them have been resolved from just a single chat .I like to suggest you that to live chat with the person and its really helpful .

Thanks guys.

@xSubZer0x Can you explain? What sort of restrictions do they place on domain use?

yeah they have great customer service. I'd definitely recommend it.

Their customer service is excellent. I have a couple of domains and decent traffic with them. I do have a reseller account at the moment, but they do not frown at a lot of traffic, as long as it adheres to their TOS.

Fair pricing, excellent support and probably the best uptime of all the major hosting companies. I was with Namecheap hosting for a long time and their service really has gone downhill recently so I switched to HG and I've been quite happy.

Their $100 payout for affiliates through CJ is great too.

Can I sign up under my own affiliate link for my main hosting? Will it cause problems?

I use Host Gator and have had no problems or downtime...

Have a blessed day...

I also switched to Host Gator, their support is really good.

I have over 30 domains with them and I have had no real problems and the few I have had have been dealt with very quickly. Much better than Godaddy which I started off with.

Host Gator is great and they have excellent customer support!
If you do decide to go with hostgator and you need someone to design your site i would be glad to help! I usually dont charge upfront or at all if you help promote me! well unless your are like sony or microsoft (a huge company) and chances are your not seeing your at this site. :D

Thanks guys. I think I will stick with Host Gator. The service seems good, and very affordable. It's not quite the dedicated server situation i had before, but when my server bounced down a flight of stairs (literally), I want a company that is a little more reliable.

I have never had any problems with Hostgator and I have quite a few domains which some of them get a lot of traffic. There support has always been very good in my experience.

yes, hostgator got a great service, they never suck you.

No, I'm pretty sure Host Gator will not suck you. They seem to be pretty good, and even their shared (cheap) hosting plans offer pretty snappy web responses. I am very pleased.

You should just get reseller hosting. $25 a month, just buy 7$ domains from internetbs.net and set the dns to point to where you set it up on the reseller and bam, your done!
