Host Gator the best? Advice please!

I had a bad experience with GoDaddy, enough said on that :alien01:

Seems that Host Gator is the one people think is great for shared hosting.

Is it the best out there? Also, do they get bitchy about content lockers and such, i`ll probably be using a facebook like content locker at some point :firedevil
Please comment with advice! :china:

I've used HostGator for years; and abslutely no complaints. And JustHost is not bad either.

Bit thave pretty fast customer service support; and pretty easy to use.

Content locker problems? Don't know; wouldn't think so.
 
I have used Hostgator for about a year

24/7 support and they have been really good and deal withissues quickly

Have multipule sites with them and no issues

They have great support, and most people use them for hosting purposes. Depending on your needs if you want a vps I wouldn't recommend them but for hosting they are pretty good.
 
I am also with them for about 2 years. What makes them stand out amongst other things is their prompt support. You can always reach them at their support chat. Plus they shared hosting is really good. It costs a bit more than other hosting providers, but it is worth it.

hostgator really gives me a hard time, so based on my experience , i would say dont buy hosting from hostgator...
 
Hostgator would be an absolute choice... they are best with their services and prices are low as compare to other web hosting services . I got 5 websites hosted with them for last 2 years and I am quite satisfied with it.. Go for it :)
 
Most people talk very highly of host gator, therefore i`m gonna play it safe and go with them =)

Do wordpress sites load nice and fast on them?
 
Hostgator/Eleven2= best price for performance hosts I have every worked with
hostwinds= reliable and very cheap, but not the best customer service.

So hostgator and eleven2 are the ones I would recommend. Personally I use eleven2 but would use hostgator anyday.

I have never heard our customer service complained about, let me know about which tech you worked with, and the problems they gave you, I will get it taken care of
 
Host Gator may be good for you, most of the webmasters are using its share hosting plan. I have no idea about content lockers facility.
 
They really aren't the best. While they have good support and even good prices, their actual products aren't what you would call fantastic. Definitely on par though.

You are 100% right I been on hostgator whole year (without problems) but their servers are too slow (probably because too many website host) hostwings servers are now about 100% faster than hostgator was!:)
 
I use HostGator as well and I have not had any problems thus far.

I'm eye BlueHost because there is a one-click thingy for updating wordpress, which is great for people who have multiple sites that host WP. Updating sites one-by-one is a pain.
 
As i want to go with www.hostwinds.com i have just one question.

Can i put more than 1 site on 1 hosting (The sites are basic niche sites) And will they be slower if i put more than 1 site on the same hosting as i saw you offer a good Ultimate Hosting Plan for only 5.5$.

I would be thankful if you answer this question.
 
I'll back up the people who suggest Hostwinds. I've been on their server less than a week and have been blown away by the attention they give. Their customer service is the best I've ever experienced and their prices are ridiculous.

No having multiple sites on the same hosting isn't going to make it slower
