Hi guys,

i am already quite some months into IM, but the following has never happened before. I bought a cheap aged domain (12 years old) with no backlinks. I have made some awesome unique content, and I also created steady backlinks from my PBN. It is live for almost 3 weeks. My keywords went up slowly and they reached the 4th and 8th page for a hard keyword. Since a couple of days ago, i started to create some more diversed links, around 20 a day. Like social bookmarks, web 2.0 and other kind of links. My keywords dropped today, the 4th page went to the 8th page and the 8th page went >300.. Is this a kind of the honeymoon period? Or a dance for new websites? Is that even possible with a 12 year old domain?

thanks,
mark

This happened to me also when i added some web2.0 it dropped to N/A, 3 websites different keywords, now waiting for them to come back.

Thanks Penumbra, I hope they will come back soon, strange it happens to more people. You have also an aged domain? Let me know what happens!

Hope it will regain its position back keep us updated

Are the web 2.0's with unique content and are they point only to you main site. And is your site backlink profile diverse enough, probably you don't have one keyword that holds 50% of the anchor text.

I have 25% for the URL, so http://www.domain.com. is that okay? The rest are keywords and generic. Web 2.0 are all unique.

Interested to see how it goes, but have you checked how your backlinks are indexed? Check your anchor text ratios to see if those that have been indexed carry more exact anchors?

I see that two of my PBN links are deleted, i think it happened accidently, maybe this is the reason for the drop. I will keep everyone updated

Just wait for a week or so. If its a Google dance then it will come back to normal. Otherwise, you are in trouble.

This is typical of a new sites, esp if it getting a lot of new links. 20 links/day in my eyes is clear indication of spam.

Focus on on-page optimization over off-page. Try to balance keyword density, incorporate LSI keywords, increase content length.

Use PBN to build related but not keyword optimized anchor text links

Thanks a lot mate. But what do you mean with "Not keyword optimized anchor text links"?

Aged domains within new backlinks might as well be considered the same as new domains.
