Honest Opinion!

I worked in a call center selling DirecTV for a little over 3 years, and this is pretty much how I used to upsell Premium channels, HD Service, Multi Room systems, Monster and S Video cables, etc.

Pay attention to this post if you ever intend to sell anything, and that includes selling yourself (think clean)

To be honest that's exactly what I do. If i were to send you to every website I have sold you would find that all but one is a Joomla customized template from yoo, rocket theme and other such sites.

I totally with you there.

K a quick example of price conditioning. (quick being relative)

You want to buy a lawn mower but you have never bought one and you have no clue what one costs, so you go to the store telling yourself that you are not going to pay any more than $200 for a lawn mower.

You get to the store and out front the have several mowers parked out front (no prices on them so you have to ask)

You were going to buy a push mower for $200 but you see the cool new zero point turn riding mowers with the 48" deck and you think about how useful that would be and how much time it will save you so you ask "how much"

$3000.00 and you are floored, No way are you paying that much, You're not going to pay any more than $1000 for a mower! "how much is the one with only the 40" deck?"

$2000 Thats way too much... You will not pay any more than $1500 for a mower! "How much is the little one thats not zero point turn and has the 36" deck?" "well that one is on sale for $1399"

SOLD! (see what happened)

I could have explained how to do it but showing you how it works is more important.

To use this you simply ignore how much they say they wanted to pay and show the something amazing. Start high, then start taking away from it to make it cheaper until they can't bare to lose anymore features or whatever and they end up spending much more then they originally wanted.

This works and I have used it for years.

Okay so I've said before that I'm a part time web designer, I just re-did my web design website and I would like some *constructive* feedback from anyone willing to share it.

Looking for feedback from a design perspective not an SEO perspective as I haven't gotten to that yet. Now that the main visual design is done I'll start working on the content.

Thanks in advance.

I like the simplicity. Flash sites are always visually pleasing for me. Nice work.

Hmmm, as stated elsewhere, the font on each page should be the same, it should also be a bit larger for readability.

It is simple, you cannot get lost, the user interface at the top is easy and functional. The music did not bother me, and I have the option of shutting it off... I DID also like the mild color conversion changes when you mouse-over the menu items.

I do not like a lot of flash either, but yours is not overdone, save your real stuff for your examples, gallery and testimonial pages (you will be having these right?)

Add an html sitemap too, it will help the most with SEO since they need to sidestep the flash files on the homepage.

Also, I see no phone numbers or email addresses ON ANY PAGE, even the contact us page? This always make me feel like it is a non-company - If the only way I can contact you is through your form, then I will continue my search for a web designer who looks like they are in business to do business and make money - This is not marketing your web firm, it is trying hard NOT to let me contact you... IMO. No Phone, City, State or even Country listed? You want me to spend money with you right? Seems more like hiding than selling.

Pump up the portfolio section, show fabulous stuff, not just so-so stuff. Add some images to your pages (even one each) - it can still look very professional, but I think some imagery that can capture their thoughts or get someone thinking is just as important as the overall look and feel of the website, and only adds to the visual candy. You are trying to get them to picture their business online, all professional and good looking and successful - so yours has to be this first.

Good Luck with your new venture -

I'll let the others talk about design, etc., but I thought I'd give you a heads up that the site you have in your portfolio has a non-working link back to your design page. Fix that -- maybe you'll get another contract or two. :)

All very helpful and enlightening advice. Thank you very very much!

Simple but i feel that somethings missing but i dont know what it is...oh and the music is annoying to me...i dont like it. THATS my opinion ;)

Like the site, but where's the porn? you get more clicks. I don't get it??
