Hello guys,

My site getting index everyday.
Website pages appears in search results but homepage is not appearing in google. What is the reason you think?

How can i solve it ?

Thanks

More informations please. I think it's impossible situation, I never had this kind of problems because your articles are 100% linked to your homepage (if you're using WordPress) and have to be in Google. The homepage is more important then articles, so this is unusual situation. Please tell more about your problem (you've to search the problem in the webmaster tools or in your sitemap).

Your site is being penalized. Here on bhw is more than enough topics how to solve it.

check out the source of your home page and look for something similar to
<META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX">
just remove NOINDEX and you are good to go

Hello guys,

thanks for replies.

i dont have any noindex on robots.txt
everything is okay on webmaster tools for sitemap and other things.

Is your homepage not appearing after you do a site: search? Or your homepage is simply not ranking for its keywords?

my homepage appears on site:sitename.com
but not in keyword search. its very easy search but not in even 1000.

How long has it been gone? It usually disappears for a while once you start building links, and indeed as you add more. Though, assuming it's not penalized, it will bounce back stronger than before.

If you want your homepage to rank, then make it more relevant to your keywords than your internal page. Build backlinks to your homepage by diversifying anchors. Try not to optimize two different pages for the same main keywords.

I think your site is penalized in google... Check you WMT account and see if you got any message of manual penalty?

to be sure that all is going to be ok with google sent and update your sitemap.xml

lol..it's happening a lot lately, inner pages ranking better than homepage.

Keep backlinking your homepage and it will get back in the SERP's.

This. Op check your incoming links anchor profile to your homepage. If they are high adjust.

Is your site an EMD?

It is EMDx.com, I built all linkts to homepage.

Its never been in first 1000 search results (my main domain keywords), only my inner pages listed on search results.

WTF he is not being penalized, you can't be penalized only on the homepage.

Everything fine if its a new site it need time for google to sort it out. If its and old site build more backlinks to the homepage and interlink your few post to your homepage.

You don't have the keywords in your homepage, I'm guessing its blog type and you update your content from time to time. You have articles who are ranking to specific keywords, you really don't need to worry about your homage nor ranking

yes it is wordpress but all site related to only 1 subject.
It is 3-4 weeks old site. Getting index well everyday, and my homepage appears in site:sitename.com search. but not in 10.000 for my main domain keywords.

Check your on-page SEO. It may be too stuffed with keywords or the settings are not set right.

If you say that you still are ranking highly for the inner pages then it would be foolish to quickly assume that the domain is penalized. Also, check anchor text diversity both on your backlink profile and on your on-page.

same thing happening to me on several sites since updates. Still haven't figured out why
