Homepage Links on Real Sites

I have a competitor who uses Homepage links on sites. Most of them have 40 DR AND UR on ahrefs.

1. Why do they matter?
2. Can I buy these sort of links anywhere? If yes, please provide more information regarding where I can buy these.
3. Is it safe to have these?

I have purchased lots of guest posts from high authority sites with high traffic. However, my competitor uses homepage links from random sites and most of his site has blog comments with spammy links. The competitor site still ranks better than ours. Even though, I have disavowed all of the spammy comments on my side.

Homepage links are like any other links, they are just on home page where most of the link juice is for any given site.

And nobody sells you homepage links from their own sites yet alone authority sites.

Some PBN sellers here offer 3 months home page feature before the links roll to inner pages but that's about it.

You can buy expired domains and build out some random site and give yourself that homepage link or create a PBN.
 
It sounds like a PBN.

1. If you can see all their links, assuming they aren't blocking links checkers, they must have some authority if they beat you.
2. Probably you can or you can do your own PBN.
3. Hard to say without knowing exactly what kind of sites are we talking about. But, watch your competitor. If he vanishes after a few months, they probably aren't safe. ;)
 
These links are sold in underground forums. Mostly by Chinese. I think the sites are either hacked or some thing. They charge heft prices for such links. It did rank my site to #1 in no time and attracted 10k traffic with value of over $20,000 in no time. That is why when I lost some of those links, my site dropped to #2. I wanted to know if anyone here provided such service.

As for blog spam comments, I see my competitor has several nofollow spam comment links from high DR sites. But the competitor has managed to rank for 2 years using the same links strategy. I have disavowed most of those links from my side.

out of curiosity, from the moment they gave you the homepage link to the time that you made #1, how long did it take?
also when was this if you don't mind me asking.
 
Check link building section... Homepage PNB links available which might help to rank better in your case..

Home page links sound like a good strategy but check with the sellers in the marketplace section and choose

I have other guest posts from high authority sites, but it did take 15-20 days. Even though, It took me 4-5 months to achieve the same for a short period of time with.

I don't see anyone offering Homepage links on websites. As far I see Homepage PBN links, I'd like to stay away from PBNs.

Have the same... a competitor ranking with lots of spammy blog comments.

Pure homepage links do not come cheap and they will most probably come for a monthly or yearly subscription. Cheap and quality don't go together in case of backlinks, so you got to be ready for that. And then ask the leading sellers in the marketplace, most of them own SEO agencies and will provide this with ease.

Not getting PBN links will keep you away from the rank and bank as well. There is no other decent way to get decent backlinks. From where and how you get it is your choice, or get your own PBN made. Whitehat backlinks are insanely costly (outreach) and days of spam link rankings are restricted/limited.

My experience with PBN's have been worst in the past. I had penalties on most of the websites where I purchased PBN links. Hence, I stick to guest posts on real sites with traffic only. It helps at first, but you need links from other sources as well. Homepage links have helped me more than guest posts on high authority sites. Which is why I think Homepage links should be a priority.

You will never be able to get homepage links from outreach posts. I don't know what you bought in the name of PBN links, as I said cheap is cheap and PBNs can also be public networks, they will bring nothing but penalty, of course, they have their value when you are looking at the churn and burn projects or for various tiers of links (when the niche is tough).

Rather you should either build your own PBNs which are niche relevant or keep doing outreach if it is working for you. But outreach will take time and you may not get a homepage link at all, that's a fact.

Oh, how can you be so sure that your competitor is just using spammy backlinks and ranking, he may be just too smart and masking his actual backlinks :D
