I have a niche WP site with 11 articles and growing. Right now, I have only the most recent article showing on the homepage, so each time a new article is published, it replaces the old article. In your experience, does G like to see the change on the homepage or should I always keep the same article? Should I have more than 1 article on the homepage?

Thanks.

Any thoughts on this?

Well how often are you going to update it?
I usually turn my WP sites to static because I don't really update them much.
From a view point of view I Think it looks bad if you have a WP site that doesn't look updated. If you're gonna update it regularly I would go wtih WP, I think both viewers and google like that.

But I dont' think Google will be any different if it's static and you continue to add content either.

I add an article each month. So my question is: should I place the new article on the homepage (landing page)?

You can put new article in homepage and it will be more beneficial if you put more articles in homepage. You need to be sure that your articles are 100% unique and informative.

Thanks.

Yep I agree. The more the better, not too many though.

I think if it's a blog type then just show the latest post in homepage. But if you want to optimize the homepage for a keyword, i think it's better to show static page which optimized for that keyword.
You can do this easily with WP by adjusting the setting>reading> homepage show static page.
