heh there are many that have homes but can't afford a laptop... also since they somehow "work" don't know why wouldn't they apply for a regular job which would be enough to afford food and others... homeless people usually are lazy or have serious mental issues... anyway stupid marketing article...
well really its all about using free services ... free power, free wifi - you just need to come up with the mobile device to get going.
its funny they can figure this stuff out - that most people wouldn't know about - but can't get a job at mcdonalds ? so its more a mental issue than anything else.

If you have the money for a laptop, I don't see how you can be homeless. Get a damn part time job where you can make an extra ~$200 a week. You can afford an apartment if you don't mind roommates for that much.

You guys ever think it could be donated, or they could have had a job and lost it and kept their computer to find other jobs instead of selling it for a months rent or housing. Shocking I know, but possible to be homeless with a laptop.

Do you really think those laptops are worth something? People throw out computers all the time when they upgrade. I put one on the curb every 2 years or so. If they know a thing or 2, they can reset it to factory defaults. Yeah, it's probably 1GB of RAM if they're lucky, but it's free.
This isn't 2001.

Yeah Ive seen Japanese homeless guys watching their TVs inside cardboard self made mancaves. They usually set up under canopied walkways near to major department stores so they can hook up to some mains. So the thoughts of some American guys owning $100 laptops and converse and still having to hit the pavement for the night doesnt seem that unlikely.
OK let me just put it simple to you, they are not homeless is is what we people who have common sense call an advertisement.
No I have never seen three homeless people with a well fed dog all with laptops, one very clean shaven and all in clean clothes with relatively new trainers on. If you choose to believe they are, then good for you. However I am not really that simple.
Oh sorry, yes I have, however they all tend to drive BMW's and not really homeless, bit like these above.

You're not one of those guys are you? You think all homeless people should get a job at McDonald's, like it's just that easy.
They don't have any reliable transportation. They don't have anything to tell time. I can name a number of kids from high school who can't find a job at all. McDonald's isn't constantly hiring either. What happens when the homeless guy doesn't show up? You have no address on record, no phone number, nothing. I don't think his resume will be at the top of the pile. Never mind, I'm not even going to try to argue this.
However, I will leave you with a video hitman sent me a while ago. Hopefully it will address your concern about homeless people working at McDonald's and open your mind up a bit.

this has got me thinking about bitcoins all over again, and ASIC miners and what not. you can no get mining contracts that would make you huge amounts of money if my calculations are correct
