Hello,

I have started working at home, due to the pandemic we have ongoing. I have a good schedule with regular 20 minute breaks. I use light music to stay motivated while working and i drink water regular throughout the day.

However alot of the week, starting the evening before, i get lazy and the next day i am unproductive. I start work late and go on YouTube and generally am unproductive.

Does anyone have any rituals or anything i can change to try boost my motivation and production levels please? Anything to set me in a better mind and to just push forward everyday. If anyone has gone through this challenge and overcome it i would be grateful to hear from you.

Any help you can give i would be massively thankful. Thanks alot.

Set yourself small goals.

Daily: I will get x% through this project
Weekly: I will get through x amount of projects
Monthly: I will make $xxxx

Have something big to aim for, a new car, house, moving out of your parents house (examples)

Get a photo of it and put it where you work.

I have by no means perfected this, it is hard for everyone. I have a big family, so it is super difficult for me, but goals seem to be the best way.

Good luck

I think everyone is different when it comes to tapping into their productivity.

But for me, i've found having a structured day works the best for me.

I'll plan out what needs to be done the night before and do it.

I'll even include things as nonchalant as game with the boys for an hour.

Structure your days, and be adamant on following the tasks at hand and you will have no problem achieving your goals.

Keep the end goal in mind.

If your end goal is to make a boatload of cash and buy that private island, think about that.

Then realize that you will never get there if you don't get done what you need to get done.

Thank you all your replies are really helpful, it means alot. I will try setting monthly goals and focusing on my private island. You guys are the best here, i just needed a push to keep me motivated. I hope i can do it, i really feel horrible when i have had an unproductive day and i beat myself up. Thank you guys.

Godspeed my friend.

I'm sure all of us have had those days. Don't beat yourself up. Just get better.

Meditation, sport in the morning, heathy food, no TV, no social media or youtube. If it's hard to avoid, try listening on youtube to new courses or people that inspire you.
If you miss social media, try to limit your time to 15 min after lunch and dinner.
And always have in mind your goals, both short and long term. Put some pictures where you work so you always remind yourself where you want to go.
And remember it's ok to have less productive days, bad days, as long as you don't get used with them. Ask for help when you feel you need support to get you back in the game.:D
