Home page as landing page

Hello BHWers,

Would it be a good idea to use a landing page instead of the usual homepage (all the recent posts)?

The blog has been around for a year with just 5 posts but does not have a niche yet. Can someone help me out with that too (in DM)?

I can't see a reason why not.

If you aren't focusing on your blog much, and would like to make money through that landing page, go for it.

yeah you can try click funnels for this... $97 a month gives you like 40 funnel pages that you can test out on and 297 a month will get you unlimited pages... you can have one product per funnel and its perfect for upsells and one time offers and things like that

If you have a product - yes
If you have a blog - I am not sure what you talking about, but probably a bad idea

Yeah use the landing page. If your blog isnt full of content a landing page would be more effective

I thought they were the same? What's the difference of landing page and home page? Thought they were just synonyms of each other. So yeah, I guess in my website it's the same and I don't see any differences.

Landing page : for converting visitors arriving from seo or paid advertisement.

Home page : the main page of your domain (usually with the most backlinks).

Yes they can be synonymes, but not necessarily

Sure, why wasting time for a shitty blog.
A lot of affiliate marketers using simple WordPress blogs with just a few articles to promote a product/service. It depends on your niche, traffic, you can say overall your strategy.
Heromrk18 already mentioned it clickfunnels is one great option, but there are many similar ones like convertri, Builderall and so on. Even some of the e-Mail marketing tools offering, hosting LP within your build campaign.
