I collected a large list of upcs that came from the home depot website. When i enter one upc into the search bar of the site, it comes up as an error, saying that the upc's matching product cannot be found. But if i google that same upc, the link to its home depot page shows up in the results. So it confirms that the items are valid. Then when i follow the link, i checked its availability which was also true with 300+ in stock of that particular item. Im using software to check directly on the hd website but its not of much use when it cant find the product. Is there any reason why i shoukd ignore these products? Or better yet, does someone know how i can find those "missing" upc links directly from the website?

you might have to search sku/item number, if you're looking at HD.com. if you want to search UPC, try brickseek.com

Yeah usually SKUs are the way to go. I checked out the HD site and don't see any visible UPCs listed on product pages, but they're in the source code which is probably why you can find them with a Google search. I tried and the HD site doesn't return results for the UPC, but does for SKUs.
