Holy Shit 13,939 Backlinks Overnight

Well not exactly overnight since I already knew alot of them where there before, but one day Google stop showing them. Well I checked Google Webmaster Tools like 2 days ago and had 72 today I have 13,939.

Just so nobody ask me how I did this, it is on an adult website and have hardlink trades with 30 or so other adult sites and my link is displayed on each new page/post they create.

Should I be worried much or just wait and see what happens? I only receive like 10-20% of my traffic from google anyway.

that's good. you may wait and see what happens in a few days time. if your sites dance to the tunes of Big G...then you may slow down the process..

With all the due respect, I disagree. Sitewide links can make a difference (especially if they are displayed on websites in the same niche as yours).

If you search for some post in the past, VitaVee himself explained that. I tried them and I have to agree, they help (to what extent and at what degree is hard to tell though).

Said so, everybody is entitled to have their own opinion and imo if you are getting results with the knowledge you have, don't give a damn about what other people say.

I'm a fan of finding clever ways to link every page to every other page site-wide even when my sites have 15K pages... 200 links per page my ass.
 
Ditto! I had just about 200 links according to Google WC. But today, after 3 days of making just 30-40 links, I have 10k links.

Wow.!

Well at least I know Im not the only one thats going to get screwed then. :rolleyes:
 
Yeah just hope you aren't a victim of the google dance. You may experience some high ranking stuff for a few days, but after that google may decide to bring you back a few pages. So I always like to wait a few days before anything happens.
 
Thats freaking bad. Prepare to be penalised.

Google dont like links coming from the same IP.

You should have your link on a single page only in each domain.
 
I haven't found that G crushes my site for too many links too fast. There may be a temporary slide several pages, but generally it comes back. And yes, sitewide links work well for me.
 
Don't worry dude.Never believe 100% of what you read.Keep adding that amount daily and you will not have any problem. ;)
 
One of my sites I haven't done any promotion for in awhile went from 600 to 23,000 overnight.

One of my sites goes up and down like that. I build themes, if a large site stops using my theme I may loos 10k links, but if a large site starts using one I may gain 10k links.
 
Think about it like this... a Blogroll link on WP is an editorial link; the kind Google Loves. It's also a site wide link.

Not ALL site wide links are bad.
