Okay, I always thought that subs had virtually no use except for looking cool as bling due to the fact that purchased subs do not give views. plus youtube can make a list of accounts that frequently sub to channels and actually track fake subs this way. I was thinking, about 1/5th of all my views are real where as 4/5s are fake, what if youtube will send me more traffic, and more people based on the number of subs I have? So if thinking of making a legitimate YouTube account and starting a youtube career, is buying subs a good thing or a bad thing?

Its useless. Avoid buying subs . Buying views is cool because you actually get something from that if your video is good and has potential , Also try to balance everything out on your promotion don't make anything way too obvious .

I also learned 1 more thing , On new videos rankings updates instantly . That means if you send around 100k views on a new video with the right keywords you might actually rank for it faster than sending it to an old video with the same keywords.Another cool way to get on top of the search really fast!

I personally think Subs, Likes and Comments are just as important. Think about it; all those people who come and see your video based on your views will look and say "Oh wow he/she has __ thousand subs; maybe I should sub" I think it actually helps you get more subs. Again..in my opinion...I think it looks rather strange to have 75 subs and 250k views.

Will buying subs hurt you? No - just get a reasonable amount as long as you can afford it, it's not really important.

Can having a larger number of subs possibly convince real people to sub? Yes

In the grand scheme of youtube it doesn't matter that much, but if you'd rather save the couple $ then don't get them
