Hi guys...

I am starting a new site and aren't sure which domain to go after... I have these choices:

www.blue-widgets.org
www.bluewidgets.info

Which one should I go for and why? Is the EMD info better?

Hyphens are weird. Both can rank.

Well I'd go with the .org not based on anything "scientific" but I just rarely see .infos ranked and I never buy them

Hello Sir,
It solely depends on that purpose of your site. If its for business and the likes then it's better if you use .com .co .info.. However, .org is also great alternative though. You're lucky because of both of them have the possibility of ranking your website...

Don't take hyphen one ,

both can be ranked ,
but the hyphen 1 will take time to rank
and the second 1 will be easily ranked ..

I think this is not right. Google considers both white space character and hyphens the same. Just google it yourself if there's any difference.

i got a hyphenated (c-oh-m) the other day -- it's still better than non-hyphenated (inf0)

Take both, use the .info as your moneysite and build up the .org with trustlinks/high pr stuff, then after a while link to your MS from there.

bluewidgets.net is available..thats the one to get.... No brainer far superior domain to the two you have listed

You get a hell of a lot more visitor trust with .org than .info.

Can you not find something like:

My vote is for the name of the site, which is without hyphen and that contains the 'info' word unless you are running a special organization.
