Just dropping in to say Hi - read some interesting threads, looking for info on any backlinking tools that may help me.

I've had a look at linkwheel - do that already (like 3 years+ ago...) with out using any special app to do it for me. Any suggestions for me? At the moment I do it the white hat way of speaking to webmasters and sharing/exchanging or even buying/renting good PR relevant backlinks. Any tool that speed my process up would help a great deal.
I've tried reporting services like seomoz and even hubspot and tbh didnt think that much of them, as they just seem a collection of tools, which can be found free else where.
