I think it's fair to say that Instagram is still going strong and with the introduction of Reels will begin to shred TikTok's market share. Even though TikTok is unlike to remain sustainable, a lot of people have had serious success that will stick with them even after the end of the platform (*cough* Charlie D'Amelio's family rumoured reality show).

I spoke to a few people a few months back about upcoming platforms (both real game changers and TikTok-esque trends) and I'd love to know what you all think.

A few I have identified as potentials:
-Storyfire - A mixed media platform with text for all users and video if you provide a full pitch to be reviewed. Feels more like a weird streaming platform than mainstream social media, though.
-Byte - 6 second videos. By the co-founder of vine. Might die with TikTok
-Likee - Seems to have some users but their notifications are annoying and make me scream.
-Caffeine - Streaming platform. I don't really know if YouNow is a thing still but this might be an interesting replacement.

What platforms have you identified for the future? Do you think we will see more 'competitors' or an entirely new style of social media platform next?

I've jumped on "Keen", Googles Pinterest alternative experiment. Has a good chance of growing big, and imaged based, so easier to make content for.

next is goverments baning them and making their own version, they have too much infuence
