Hit with a pure spam penalty

Hi all,

I bought a domain that was hit with a penalty. I really want to see if I can rescue it and get the penalty lifted. It's a new site, new content and all fresh. It was obviously used as a pbn but I want to genuinely use it for a client and not a pbn now.

I have had a few penalties lifted in my time but this one, not so lucky. I can't figure out what I have done wrong. Do you think it's because the new content is now in line with the original content? It was a site for saving water and a world water saving forum, now it's for water filters.


Any advice would be very appreciated.
