One of the best things you can do is just buy a few thousand followers from a micro job site that will pop you over the 2k limit and put you up to 5k or so....at that point you can start following a large number of people again

When an account has more than 50,000 followers, on Sunday, randomly, the daily_follow_limit is reset after 12 hours.

When the account has more than 100,000 followers, the daily_follow_limit is reset a few days a week, randomly, in periods of 12 or 18 hours instead of 24, but never for two days. The next day the term is always 24 hours.

Using a system's accounts that filters in cascade regular followers, the record was 1250 real followers within 24 hours after following a 1800-1900 accounts.

Using tweetattacks I could reach up to 13000-18,000 real followers in a month, steadily, starting from scratch.
