I do hire writers as I am not the best and dont have the time to do it myself.

But I know that to the next level in my business I need to hire some staff.

Right now I make money from affiliate marketing, Amazon FBA, and Ebay.

Only modest amounts in each but combined they give me a living.

I do all this on my own and work from home where 2 toddlers live. So I don't have the time to really accelerate my affiliate work.

I know I need to hire some help or I'll never progress.

I have some sort of mental block when it comes to hiring. I'm scared I won't be able to fully afford it, I also think silly things like I'm not paying for this as I can do it myself, and I worry they wont do the job as good as myself.

Did any of you guys have the same issues before hiring? And any tips regarding this?

First thing I think I need to hire is someone to publish content for me.

Just hire a VA for cheap and make sure you train them well.

As long as they communicate in English well enough and have a healthy attitude, I honestly have not had any problems taking on people from Upwork :)

This can really make your business grow a lot faster.

Thanks for the reply this makes me feel better already.

May I ask how much I should be paying for a cheap VA per hour?

How long do you spend training them up for?

It all depends on the things you want the VA to be doing.

If it's just data entry in the form of copy & pasting a large amount of information - that can be very, very cheap!

It's just like shopping for clothing online - but for freelancers. Sort by lowest price :)

The communication barrier is the biggest wall between me and some of my freelancers, which is why I prefer to only work with people who have a good command of the English language.

I try to set up projects with a set budget on Upwork so I know what to expect. But there are freelancers from $3-4/h on Upwork.

I train them quickly, during one afternoon. If I need to train many, I pay one of them to create a tutorial for the rest, send it to them and hand him a little nice bonus for the extra work.

You can hire a VA from a 3rd world country for $3-4 per hour

I would never hire a cheap VA to handle more than copy/paste work. Use a proper guy who knows more than basic things, the time and the patience required to train someone who almost has no idea to make something online must be at level 99 zen.

Been there, done that. Hire someone who does it properly or forget, thanks to me later.

For content writing it is better to hire people from Philippines, you can get world class talent - no editing required - for $1,500/mo or less.

World class writers from the Philippines? Is this legit?

Are they super hard to find?

I currently pay $20 per 1000 words.

So how much do the good ones cost per hour?

Just a look for people on upwork with SEO backgrounds?

That rate is fine but you get more bang for your buck if you take on someone as a full time remote employee. You could probably even find them on UpWork although there are dedicated intermediaries.

If not upwork then where should I be looking for a world class writer in Philippines?

I'd hire one for $1500 per month if the quality was good.

Thanks for your help.

Pay what you can and don't do it again if it is not fruitful or until it is fruitful. I say fruitful is revenue three times what you pay in investment. I charge U.S.$123.29 to copywrite, you decide the amount of work you need done. I charge up to U.S.$1,500.

Suppose you are earning a decent amount monthly, it is good to consider hiring. But when you do, the resultant "free" you will have should be used in doing some meaningful things that will earn you even more. Never assume you can do everything, I will just burn you out.
