Hi guys,

I need some help with a comprehensive audit of my WordPress website by a professional SEO expert or agency who can also recommend and implement improvements.

I feel like many SEO service providers do an OK job and offer cookie cutter solutions that don't always yield desired results.

What's your advice on where to look for a SEO expert and what are some important considerations to keep in mind when hiring one?

i think many will ask how much is your budget.

also, what niche?

one suggestion: check your city seo in google. see who is number 1. that is the person to go with if you want to go with a local agency.
 
Check seo marketplace here in bhw, that's the first place to go obviously. and of course, as the previous answer suggested, a lot will depend on your budget.

Better you can ask for this in a HAF section, so that many will approach you there with better ideas.
As you need to hire, you can opt for HAF section.
