After I started using HilltopAds' popunder on my website, I noticed that instead of opening a new tab or window, it redirected my visitors to another site. Concerned about potential penalties from Google, I contacted my manager, who assured me that my sites would not be penalized, and the redirection only occurred for me, not my visitors. Despite this, I decided to keep HilltopAds on my site as it proved to be the most profitable popunder after PopAds.
However, shortly after, I received an email from Google stating: "Google systems have detected abusive experiences on your site. To protect visitors, starting from December 31, 2023, Google Chrome will prevent the site from opening new windows or tabs and will remove all ads unless the issues are resolved." To verify if HilltopAds was the cause, I removed the code from xxx.com and left it on yyy.com, submitting both for review. After a week, xxx.com was approved, but yyy.com, which still had the HilltopAds code, was rejected.
I'm curious if anyone else has had issues with HilltopAds.
