Highlight changes when a marketplace thread gets updated

Maybe it is just me but sometimes I like watching BSTs over multiple days/weeks before buying. The reason for that is because I want to wait for reviews (from reputable members) to roll in. But it could be any other reason as well.
So as we know sometimes sellers decide to update their content. A marketplace admin will update the content and provide two versions (before and after) for people to compare just like this:



Here's the issue:
It's a pain in the ass going through both versions to identify what has been changed. Has the service changed? The price? Only the design? Multiple things? No one knows unless you go through both versions and basically compare every little detail.
Ain't nobody got time for that, yet I did since I'm seriously interested in this offer. Didn't find any changes at all (even used an online tool like an idiot to compare all images). So why would someone update the thread if no changes were made? Let's ask! So I replied to the admin comment asking what has been changed. Two seconds later my post is deleted because "the thread is not a discussion thread" (which I don't understand since I was asking a question directly related to the offer). @BassTrackerBoats happy to hear your thoughts. What do you think would be the correct behavior? I don't think everyone sending a private message to the seller asking for what has been changed is the correct solution.

Possible solution:
Update the original post as intended. Now instead of providing two version in the update post by the admin, only provide the changes that have been made (e.g. just listing the changes (e.g. design, price changed, added screenshots from reviewers, etc.). It's so much easier to identify without going through everything. This doesn't need any technical implementation and could potentially save buyers so much time.

I would love to hear your opinions on this!

I do not think that is such a bad idea... I'll bring it up in the meetings this week for the staff to check it out.

It's a change in the process. Given the current process, I think this can be worked out and implemented so long as those who primarily edit threads are comfortable with the change.

We'll discuss this in the next meeting and see what we can do.
