High traffic on funny pictures sites ?

Hello BHW Fellows,

I want to know that, the game behind all these sites; the newly born sites just 2-3 old getting tons of traffic by just posting funny pictures traffic through facebook or some traffic exchange sites but i didn't come to exact point that how they are getting traffic ? i just didn't know how they gradually getting heeps of fans in just quick time ? so i want to know the exact way to start these types of sites.

You just go through these sites and check there amung.us that they are getting heeps of traffic.

If anyone know or come to the point that how they starts and getting tons of traffic.

Facebook pages and the shares done by users from it.

they mostly get their traffic from MGID widget and facebook.

Very least amount from twitter. Minimal or No organic.

The CPC on such websites is as a minimum as possible.

and yeah most of them copy the website design of NGAG and DAMNLOL dot com.

I'm a noob at this internet marketing game, so I could be wrong about all this, but I'll give you my 2 cents anyway...

I used to spent a TON of time on various __chan sites looking at internet memes. I was ALWAYS up to date on whatever the latest "lulz" were on the internet.

Seems to me that "funny picture" sites have the potential for tons of traffic due to the huge amount of images that circulate so fast in a short amount of time: some guy makes up a funny meme on [whatever]chan, people download it and post it on their facebooks, twitters, various forums they go to, they send it to all their friends, it gets posted on Memebase and the former Encyclopedia Dramatica, etc.

If you put a watermark or little text in the corner of your URL, I would think you could get some good traffic that way.

Yeah, getting traffic on this type of sites is quite easy.
But getting conversions or clicks is the hard part, trust me.

It's been said a thousand times on this site. You can't convert internet users through sites like reddit and 4crap* because they are too smart and there a posting restrictions. The smart user only comes looking for the meme or picture and they're gone. You're lucky if you have a 5-10k impressions and one click.
IMO, you're better off spending your time doing something far more productive.

FYI: The MGID widget would break adsense rules by trading traffic.

They post pics to fanpages , then post site link every hour using bot.. and thats how get user and also page become active..
