Site profile:

Nature: providing twitter enhancement service, working like twitpic in which people have to oauth signin for service.

Alexa ranking: global around 150k, Indonesia 2k.

Current income stream: adsense only, around US$1k a month.

Marketing effort: nil

Competence: very stable dedicated server on low usage %, and high speed international connection.

So the majority of users are Indonasians, averaging hours long login sessions.

I am thinking to add affiliate product ads on front page and weekly usage report. But I don't know what kind of affiliate program will get them to click/buy/subscribe.

Any suggestion?

And experience on what level of revenue could this kind of website generate monthly? Any chance to average on tens of thousands?

Honestly, swap out adsense for a few days and test some rotating CPA offers. Join a good network with indonesian/intl offers. Try email/zip subs for US visitors. If it proves to not make as much money as Adsense, revert back.

Try to offer a points system for gathering pictures or something.
If this works try to make users share your app with tweets in order to gain FREE points or what not.

Try to sequester their emails to maintain and then build a list.

All I got in my noggin for this minute.

If you want to make money off of Indonesians give them $20 each and they will each give you $5. CPA won't work for that traffic, Adsense is probably the best you are going to do honestly. I have a TON of Indonesian traffic, and it converts very low. I'm thinking of Geo-targetting it and offering my products at a really low price to them, perhaps 75% off what I charge US customers. I think payment processing is an issue there too, as well as a healthy amount of CC fraud.

Block all Indonesian traffic and you might make some money.

This might be a dick move, but it is an option. You can write a bit of code that is only show to Indonesian users, that brings up a must complete CPA offer to continue using the service.

This is something that I've done on sites for ie6 users in the past, don't see why the same couldn't be applied here.

Thing is, most CPA networks will probably term his account for sending them crap traffic. I would too, if he only sent me traffic that never converted into sales.
