It is possible to get some one to write for $2.50 for 500 words.
The problem is for every 1 of them you will have to go through 20 who are horrible. The second problem is that they wont stay with you for the long period. But if you have short term work you might want to try guru/elance. Look for people from English speaking countries who do not yet have any feedback. Often they are willing to work for less in order to start a reputation.
